Puerto Plata s to Your Hotel
This guide separates the two cruise terminals, the hotel zones they commonly serve and the pickup details your professional driver needs.
Puerto Plata includes several hotel and residential zones. Supplying the full property name and map-selected address prevents confusion between similarly named accommodations.
The approximate driving-time range is 10–40 minutes, depending on the terminal and hotel zone. This is a planning estimate and can change with traffic, weather, cruise or airport access, road conditions and the final property entrance.
Two terminals, one clear reservation
Choosing your cruise port: Puerto Plata s to Your Hotel
Amber Cove
Amber Cove is in Maimón, west of central Puerto Plata. It is often the more direct starting point for Maimón and some western hotel areas.
Taíno Bay
Taíno Bay serves central Puerto Plata and is often the more direct starting point for stays in or near the historic center.
The correct choice is always the terminal named by the cruise line. Hotel zone, traffic, access restrictions and the exact entrance determine the practical route.

Puerto Plata s to Your Hotel — your route and travel plan
Use this Puerto Plata s to Your Hotel guide to prepare the details relevant to your own journey.
Confirm the endpoint for Puerto Plata s to Your Hotel
Use hotels across Puerto Plata as the destination only after checking it against your accommodation or itinerary. For this route, the pickup is the confirmed Puerto Plata cruise terminal. If either endpoint differs from your actual journey, request the correct route rather than adapting a reservation with the wrong pickup. Keep the full destination name and any entrance instructions together with the booking.
Make the return a separate movement
For a return from hotels across Puerto Plata, give the actual pickup address, date and time. The outbound journey from the confirmed Puerto Plata cruise terminal does not establish the return schedule. Explain whether you are heading back to the original pickup or continuing elsewhere. Confirm the destination and any fixed deadline for that second movement before considering the itinerary complete.
Ship details for this port pickup
For Puerto Plata s to Your Hotel, confirm the ship, terminal and port-call date before booking. State whether your journey ends at the accommodation or must return to the ship. Use the ship’s stated return deadline when discussing a round trip. A hotel transfer and a time-limited day ashore need different scheduling instructions.
